503A Compounding Pharmacy

A licensed pharmacy operating under direct physician oversight, preparing compounds for specific patients under valid prescriptions, regulated by state boards of pharmacy and subject to FDA oversight.

503B Outsourcing Facility

A facility registered directly with the FDA, subject to Current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, held to the same pharmaceutical-grade production standards as major drug manufacturers. The highest sourcing standard available for compounded compounds.

Angiogenesis

An analytical technique used to verify compound identity and purity. One of the primary analytical methods used in 503A/503B compounding pharmacy verification of peptide compounds.

IGF-1 — Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1

The primary downstream mediator of growth hormone's anabolic effects. Produced primarily in the liver in response to growth hormone stimulation. Central to the body composition and tissue repair effects of the Apex™ category.

Inflammaging

Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP)
